Hey, Change the Life? Change the World?(AW)

AHey, Change the Life? Change the World?
Recently, I have been reading some books. In one book, an idea impresses me a lot. The author asks “How do you want to be remembered by others?” That is to say, what do you want people to say about you when they come to your grave? It is really a matter. And I ask myself for many times. Finally I realize that there is really something I can do to change my life and even the world.
In fact, this issue has something to do with our values. Guided by different values, people usually lead distinctive lives. Maybe it is not a right-or-wrong matter since there are different views among people. But for me, I always get so excited to change my life. Furthermore, it is usually a pleasure for me to change others’ too. I do not like an ordinary life which is restricted by others. Maybe that is why I reject to play computer games. I am keen to expose myself to excellent ideas and find ways to improve. On top of that, I usually ask myself, “How can you do for others?” To a great extent, my values lie in how many people can be influenced by me and how much can I influence them.
Compared with changing others, changing myself seems much easier. However, the latter is the foundation. Normally, there are two ways to complete that. Just as is said, “You will remain yourself 10 years later except two things: the books you read and the people you meet.” Some books present the author’s accomplishments after many years’ hand work. So it can save a lot of time for me in my exploration of life. It is the same with people. The more people I meet, the more ideas I come across.
Once, I sent an SMS to one of my friends. It said, “Hey, Have you ever thought about changing the world? I think we can do something interesting and unusual.” Changing the world sounds that huge for us. But we really can do it. Actually we are doing it in our daily lives. Because the things are small, we tend to ignore them. So we need to find the things interest us a lot and try to do it. Try to make more changes to this world.
Life is so precious. For one of us, there is only one chance to lead a life. As is said, “Our lives are the accumulation of our choices.” To put it in another way, we can make choices to lead a life that we want. The life is so exciting because we can change it.

Singing on the Way(AW)

Singing on the Way
Every day we walk on the way at a fast pace, however, how many of us can keep a cheery smile on the face and sing all the while? On the most part, our eyes are caught by goals in the distance and almost everything distracting us are put aside. We tend to comfort ourselves by thinking we can make up for other things later on. Actually, we cannot go back to the past and the days passing away will never return. So remember to take your singing and smiles with you on the way.
Facing the pure blue sea and looking up at the spacious sky, I stand on the beach with breeze blowing on my body. A few guys standing on the huge rock shout in the direction of the edge of the sea. We sing our beloved songs at the top of our voices. At that time we are all smiles. We are wrapped in the ambiance of excitement and happiness. And we are young enough to do whatever we want. We have a dream one day a delicate house will be built by the sea. Every day we can open the window and appreciate the beautiful scenery. Every day we can set sail to fish on the sea in our own boat. Then we will realize that it is just the life we really enjoy.
Forming a group of friends, we set aside several days to visit a mountain far away. We put up tents at foot of the mountain, sit around the campfire, share food and talk happily. Though the heavy rain and tiredness are so irritating, we really enjoy ourselves and cover the road finally. Looking at the rain, we sit in the shelter side by side. At that time, a variety of things come into our minds and we share our experiences with pleasure. Although it is cold outside, our hearts are filled with warmth of love.
Treat our days sincerely as if they are the last ones. Walk on the roads we used to cover, sing the songs we used to sing and love the person we used to love. Then our lives are already full of warmth.

What I am doing is not what I expect myself to do(JEGA)

Since I came to Singapore I kill my time talking and watching movies, and to tell the truth, I enjoy it very much. However sometimes when I am extremely happy, I raise myself a question if I am living how I want and if I am leading a kind of life I like. I can't answer my own question, but I can't. I myself don't want to choose. On one hand, I am happy to act as a talktive girl and chat with my roommates about all the things we want to share as girls, and I like to watch all the good movies which absorb me into the plots and just make me feel I am one of the characters. I have never been happier. I enjoy what I feel, and I like to have nothing to do but live as a household lady who even doesn't have to do housework. I like to be with my friends, laughing and crying with them. Perhaps I also like to live in an isolated world where I can just enjoy, enjoy and enjoy but not need to work. However, on the other hand, I found I am not leading a kind of life I am looking forward to. Beside fictions, I also want to see the real world experiencing things not only through the eyes of the characters in the films. I like watching in front of the computer, but I do want to go outside to expose myself in the sunshine. I enjoy chatting with my friends in the room, but I feel lost about the fact that we may waste a lot time talking about what is unnecessary and wrong. I like killing time doing nothing, but I can't help wondering about what I will be like if I have more knowledge. I want to lock myself in a room without anything new, but I can't block my imaginations about what new is happening outside and what different life can be. I have much passion in knowing about new things and new experiences, which I can't drop off. I always have confusion like that, but this time it lasts too long from the day I finished the college entrance exam. I stay where I was for too long. During the few months or more than half a year I have been a completely a bad person. I developed a bad eating habit, gained weight, lost interests in studying, give up running, thought less about my responsibilities, minded less about spending money, didn’t care much about bad scores, but there are something good also I know more things about computer and type faster, learn more about what other girls think, have less burdens, do more shopping, become more optimistic. I can’t say I am regret anyway. I am not regret because I know why I did all these things. In all of the eight months I tried to recover from the scar of the exam. It took me 3 years to recover from the failure of the high school entrance exam. Until today I still feel pain. I heard someone said that failure is something that is not easy to deal with because it will leave you painful for a long time. I still can’t treat my failure correctly now. I think of it and feel just like when I thought of the failure in the high school entrance exam in high school. I feel ashamed of that. I hardly get rid of the shadow. I really care about that. I escape from those feeling by never working hard as before, to make forget the failure. Year, now I am here in Singapore and no one will care about what I got in the exam, but in my heart there is always something I can’t forget, that’s what blocks my way. I’m in fact a bit afraid I will fail again if I work hard again. I have a feeling that if I do nothing and fail, I will not be that sad; if I am not regarded as someone like in middle school and high school, I will not feel hopeless when people regard me as a pity. Before I always gave people hope that I could be good, but I failed. I was depressed anyway. Once I was not the kind of people I am now, I want to be excellent, but now I am afraid to fail again. I enjoy the life in some way, but I know I am not living the way I expect and I know I am daydreaming and not willing to wake up. Dreaming is good, but I know I can’t dream everyday without an end. From the day, I graduated from high school, I chose to escape and do nothing that can make me uncomfortable. I dream for so long without considering anything serious. I know I can’t live a life like that all the time, because it’s not as interesting as I thought and not as comfortable as it seemed to be. In fact, I’d like to say I have been fed up with the life the last 8 month. I am bored by dreaming and having nothing to do. I remember I dropped my tensed life in high school, because I thought that was enough for me and I was bored. While today I can’t bear such comfortable life now, I would rather go back. Though I still feel pain about the past and I am not brave enough to look back, there must be a day I should face it and truly I will change the way I live. I will try to make myself satisfied and I think anyway I’m here not where I was hurt. I still love the world , I want to put myself into wonderful adventures , I hope to know more about new thing, I have things to fulfill. That’s why I want to change, to go back to the normal path. I always know I will go back to my path wherever else I choose to go in a short moment, but I never regret to go somewhere else and then come back. I don’t think it should be a mistake. I treasure it, as it’s a part of life and growing up. It gives me time to rest and have a look at all the beautiful things I didn’t pay attention to. I like my leisure life recently, but anyway I will be back, because I want to know what will happen in front. I am not an emotional person, but I will always think of what happens to me, because I am a normal person and every normal person does this.

Pursue My Dream and Never Give Up(AW)

Pursue My Dream and Never Give Up
Having been in Singapore for over one month, we are gradually adapted to the new environment. We get up at the fixed time, go to class with the same fellows and head for canteens for the certain food. As time goes by, my excitements and curiosity fade away and a feeling of tiredness strikes me harder and harder. Realizing that many seniors occupy themselves with heavy study tasks and some others are busy hunting for a job, I cannot help but ask myself, ’What my future will be like?’ Lost in thought, I remind myself that I will never give up since there is a dream for me to pursue.
Kungfu panda has become so popular all around the world, not simply because he has a ridiculous image and great humor but because of his firm belief and determination in pursuit of his dream. He inspires me to keep a dream in mind and to try to realize it with every effort. Since I have done my best, I make a great and colorful life.
In our real lives, nobody can avoid frustrations and disappointments from all aspects of life. Your failure in an important exam, breaking up with your friends, there are disappointing things flooding into our lives every day. But make sure that they cannot destroy our determination and belief in the pursuit of our dreams. Because once you lose your belief and dream, you will lose everything in your life. Just as the saying goes in the film, ’You must believe! Anything is impossible!’, where there is a belief and a dream, there is always a miracle.
Though life seems a long and tough journey to us, we will not feel tired and frustrated at all as long as we have dreams. So, pursue our dreams and never say die!

Leave a Space in the Heart For Yourself(AW)

Leave space in the Heart for Yourself
Though we are busy all day, we always forget to allow ourselves adequate time for silent thinking. Glancing at the long list of irritating things you have to do during the coming day after waking up, I will lose my expectations of the new day. I think most of my fellow students share the same feeling just as mine. So what I want to say is that don’t forget to nourish your soul, which is the most important for you.
On weekdays, we concentrate on our studies with nearly no extra time to think of other things. How about our weekends? The situation of our weekends is no better than that of weekdays I think. During the weekdays, even from Monday, we start making the things-to-do list for the following weekend. So it is not a surprise that our weekends are usually filled with so many things which make us rather bored. You are asked to go shopping with A during the morning. After eating a quick lunch outside, you hurry to take the MRT to a friend’s far away to get back your badminton bats. Then you have to do the homework after the long journey without a minute of rest…At last, when you lie on the bed at late night and think back on the things done today, you are really confused if the things are exactly what I like to do? Absolutely no! They are the things you think you should do, not you like to do. You are driven to tiredness and confusion rather than a sense of pride and achievement though you are very busy.
So how can we manage to enjoy our lives and maximize our happiness? The secrecy surrounding it is to leave space in your heart for yourself and nourish your soul. Don’t let yourself surrounded by a crowd of peers; just take several books or your laptop with you. Enter a room where there is little noise and few people. Read your favorite books silently and enjoy the songs you used to listen to. You can take a walk along the beach or sit silently seeing the sunset…Keep your heart peaceful and let your thinking flow fluently, which point you to important ideas. You can really do a lot to nourish your soul.
Your soul is the only thing that will follow you forever and the real source of all your life. So don’t forget to nourish it.
