Doing the survey (Jega)

We feel great for having the chance to do the survey. I believe that doing our survey in NUS campus is a good chance to practise my spoken English and I can communicate with so many students from different countries. When our bus stop at central library, my survey really starts. I choose central library because it is a public place with many students. While, maybe my time is still early and there are not many students. Only a few students are sitting at the table and are busy with there study. I have heard from my seniors that all the NUS students are preparing for their final examination this semester. That is a bad news for me because I do not want to bother someone who is busy in study. When I come to a girl who is reading, I just ask:" Excuse me, we are conducting a survey on blog, could you please do a survey?" To my surprise, the girl is very helpful and she just do all the questions for me , I appreciate her help very much. I have a good beginning just then. After finishing a few questionnaires, I happen to meet a girl who refuses me. She is busy learning and do not want anyone bother her. I just forgive her because the examination is the most important thing, comparing with my survey.
When I talk to the other research group, I feel lucky because we choose to survey in NUS and most of the students are very happy with our survey. The other groups meet a lot of problem and they try very hard to finish the survey. Anyway, the survey gives me experience in communicating with people, the next time will be easier, won't it?

  1. Yes,of course it will. Conincidently, I choose Central forum and Central libray as well. In my opinion, forum is a better place for survey. Because students there are less concentrated compared with those in the library. I remember there was a girl in the library who refused me firmly. "We are in rush!" said she without looking up at me. Definitely, we have learnt a lot from conducting the survey. HaHa, if you want to practice your oral English, maybe i can give you a suggestion. You can go directly to the librarian pretending that something goes wrong. I think this method really works. Have a try! Good luck!
