Never have I got such feeling before, while, I feel it is the right time to say I need to accelerate. To be honest, I am no longer the one who has gone through the hardship of senior high school. In the former period, like other Chinese students, I studied hard and hadn't got any extra time for entertainment. But things changes so fast, when I was selected to be a scholar to Singapore, I made a turn in the pattern of life. After the university entrance exam in last June, I probably got over 5 months to rest. Such long time with nothing to do had made my speed slow down. I enjoyed long-time sleep and just eating and playing, obviously, there was no learning. I am afraid that I have forgotten the way to study. After coming to Singapore, there is still no sign to make things better. Maybe my parents allow for my loneliness and unadaptable to the different culture, they do not warn me to study well or punish me. Anyway, it's not their fault.
There is an old saying that a person may find it easy to live from a poor life to a rich life, while, it is too much hard to get used to a poor life after he led a rich life before. Things are the same, I recognize that the way ahead is very difficult, which requires you not only your strength but also your real believe. Just like Formula one, when you lose your speed, you have nothing to do then but to wait your failure. Every team does its best to improve the speed, every rate of speed one increase needs a great amount of work in their factory. Never the less, hard work sometimes may not lead to any improvement.
All in all, I need to push my self, push and push, to the extreme.
I agree that all of us should put more efforts in our study, otherwise it will be extremely difficult when we get enrolled in NUS where the majority of our classmates are locals. But I think we should believe that hard work will pay off one day, although it may not have instant results. Anyway, balance your study and entertainment, and make everyday count.
