It was the third time that I saw the film "The Lion King" .Whereas,I was still moved by it.Every time I saw it,I had a different feeling. The thing remaining unchanged was that I kept learning from it.
The movie begins with a beautiful and meaningful song."It's the circle of life/and it moves us all/through despair and hope/through faith and love/till finds our place/On the path unwiding/In the circle/the circle of life."Such as the words says,Simba, the leading role of the film, gets through many difficulties to find who he is after his father's death, throughout which he is motivated by love from both his friends and his father,Mufasa.
In the beginning part,Simba was instigated by his evil uncle,Scar,to go to a dreadful elephant grave where lives hyenas to prove his bravery. So hazardous are the hyenas that they almost have eaten Simba and Nala when Mufasa arrives. On the way home,Mufasa teaches Simba the most significant lesson of his life."Be brave doesn't mean you go looking for trouble...Look at the stars, the great kings of the past look down on us from these stars. So whenever you feel alone just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you.And so will I."I stopped it even then.My thought flew...How ridiculous I was when I went to play with the rushing water of a flood! And what a foolish guy when I rode a bike without hands handling on it!What's worse,I even tried not to notice my parents after they scolded me for those things...Furthermore,we won't feel alone no matter where we are because those who love us will always accompany us in our heart. The strength of love is the most powerful.Everyone,no matter rich or poor, noble or humble, can revitalise himself with love.
Unfortunately,Simba loses himself when his father is dead.He just runs away from his past and dares not to face it,let alone find out the truth of Mufasa's death. As things can't go worse when they come to the extreme,Simba meets his best friends,Timon and Pumbba,at his hardest time.Their positive attitude has an impact on Simba and helps him get out of shadow of his father's death."Hakuna Matata!"What a wonderful motto !It's the best problem-free philosophy in the world,I think.Even when it comes to a insurmoutable obstacle,Hakuna Matata!Just detour it!
But Simba still don't have the courage to face the past until the appearance of the knowledgeable baboon. He leads Simba to see his father, which follows with Mufasa's enlightening words."Look inside,Simba! You are more than you have become. You must take your place in the circle of life!"How definite the last few words are!No matter how many obstacles we have encountered,we must keep our direction and take our exact place in our lives,or else the meaning of your life will be lost.
Eventually,Simba goes back to fight for his glory land. With no doubt,he finds out the real murder is his uncle and beat him.Ultimately, truth is in the eye of the behold. The scene Simpa pacing on to Pride Rock is very shocking.Simpa manages to find himself back! Simba is like everyone. In the process of growing up,we have to come across many difficulties, but remember to say "Hakuna Matata" to ourselves then face them directly. No fear about faults, and learn from it rather than run from it!

Hi Joyce, The Lion King is a wonderful movie. There are many lessons we learn from it, and you have rightly identified it. Next point, will we be able to learn and apply to ourselves in our daily living?
ReplyDeleteWhat obstacles do you face - identify them, then think about all the ways to solve them, then decide which one is best for you. For example, SM3 is to enable you to improve your SPOKEN and WRITTEN ENGLISH. How do you do this? Speaking in Chinese, you will not improve.
