I fell in love with this song the first time I listened to it. It begins with a loud, sharp scream which seems to express our feelings having been kept in our deep heart for a long time. Subsequently, the song keeps its fast rhythm and strong sense of rhythm. The sound throughout the song seems to come from the bottom of ngers' heart, which is makes me very stimulated.
I prefer to listening to it in the late, silent night. At that time, when the song is over, one soon falls into extreme silience which forms a big contrast. On that occasion, thinking about is a natural thing. Larger than life is such a great song that it makes me thinking about our lives. No matter who you are, we have to encounter difficulties and sacrifice certain things for fame or success. We may be down, perplexed or desperate. Whereas, we still have the capital of keeping our right direction because of our soul and the love from our family and even strangers. Therefore, in my opinion, the "you" in the song doesn't refer to certain person. Instead, it includes many things. From them, we can gain endless strength. "The different way to thank them", refered in the song, is never to give up and spare no efforts to achieve your goals. Only by doing that can we not feel ashamed.
Now although the band has disbanded, I feel only regret but not sad. They have their own choice. Maybe it's time for them to persue what they want respectively. I will love them all the time! Backstreet boys, the best!
I really enjoy reading your blog. Just like you, I like songs very much! In my opinion, music always has a magical power to influence us. And personally, certain songs can usually pull me into the previous memories, which are usually painful, happy or regretful. They usually link me to the friends I used to love or hate.
ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding me of this!
Hi Joyce, I'm sorry but I do not know the song. However, like you I do have several songs I like to suit different occasions. My all time song is GETTING TO KNOW YOU, a song written in the 1950s. It's about how when we get to know people, we learn about them, we relate to them, we appreciate them and they in turn learn the same about us. This is how friendship develops. Another song I like is THERE'S A SONG IN MY HEART. When I;m a little sad, I remind myself of this song and I sing it out. I then feel much better. Sahkespeare said. IF MUSIC BE THE FOOD OF LOVE, PLAY ON', so let's keep playing.
