speech in the election of hostel committee(JEGA)

Good morning everyone. I'm QiQi, an SM3 student from Group 4.Today, it's an honor for me to be here running for a position in the Hostel Committee.
First, let me introduce myself a bit more. You see, I've got an interesting name QIQI, and the spelling of it is Q-I-Q-I, some friend just call me QQ for short. And my hometown is in Heilongjing Province, almost the coldest place in China. Born and growing up there, I heritage the common characters of northeasteners:outgoing ,like chatting and enjoy making friends.I think I'm also the kind of person who is passionate in working but a little afraid of having nothing to do. Fortunately, in school, I was given the chance to undertake jobs like class monitor and Ministry in Student Union to occupy my time. These experiences not only enabled me to make more friends, but also taught me the basic principles in working and communicating, they are being responsible, acting as a good listener, respecting everybody's advice and always seeking for peaceful ways to solve problems. I think these principles will enable to improve the communication between MOE, the Hall and us.
Yes,today I am here lecturing for election, but I've never thought of becoming a leader among you anyway, because I'm not qualified to do so.I do know that I'm as talented as many of you and can't match any of you in at least some aspects, that is, I'm not wise enough to lead you the way and tell you what to do. What I indeed can do is to value every piece of your advice and select the suitable ones to carry out. So I can't promise you to come up with the wisest idea myself, but I can promise you to listen carefully to all your good ideas and take them really seriously. Also, I can't promise you like other speakers to solve all the problems or satisfy all you requests, since obviously some problems can not be solved in a short period of time because of the limited resources, but I do promise I will take all your reasonable proposals immediately to MOE and the Hall then try my best to seek for more improvement through communicating.
That's all I want to say. If you can trust me or if you think I can help to make your hostel life better, please give me your support. I'm QiQi from Group 4. Thank you for listening and thank you for your time.

  2. A very impressive speech. I think you are the right person to get that position and thus, I support you in the election. It's really a pity you didn't get the largest number of votes, but I still value you as a good lecturer and a proper person to get the position. Anyway, you still have chance to win. Best wishes for you!!

  3. That day when the election was held excitedly, I was a little upset.I don't known why.Every day,I would say to myself that I've always been a brave and wise man,who is capable to handle varieties of problems in the future even when I am in the plight and feel hard to breathe. You are surely a brave woman. And your oratory is really very good. So be confident on yourself, girl!
