Rainy man (AW)

Today I finished reading a book named Rainy Man. It’s set in 1940s’ America, whose thesis is the love between two brothers. I think the story is moving.
The little brother Chalse is a handsome man with a beloved girlfriend named Sanesse, who is Chalse’s secretary. Their serene life was broken when Chalse received his rich father’s will from which he inherited a car and a house with roses. Ironically, most of the possessions were given to another man, which made Chalse annoyed. The weird man is different from normal people. He lives without any change in every day but has excellent intelligence. He is looked after by his personal doctor Jack.
At first Chalse took the weird man away from Jack to investigate the mystery. It turned out that the man is his elder brother Ray. They were separated when Chalse was only two. His mother died the same year as his father took away a 18 year-old Ray. Chalse grew up with a tense relationship with his father, considering his father abandoned him and made up a new family. The son and father broke up when Chalse was 16. He drove friends around the town in dad’s car. Whereas, his father called police. His friends were taken home by parents but Chalse was in prison for two days. The 16 boy couldn’t stand any more. He left his house and didn’t contact his father any longer. However, there’s a misunderstanding. His father took away Ray only because Ray once innocently prepared boiled water for 2 year-old Chalse bathing, injuring his one arm and leg and his father was afraid Ray would hurt his naive brother.
During Chalse staying with Ray, he found Ray loved him deeply. When he was to bathe, Ray got nervous and prevent him. They called up the songs and happy things in childhood. In turn Chalse gave his love to his brother and forgave his father.
Rainy man is a secret friend in Chalse’s childhood. And it’s Ray. The two brothers promised that they would often play cards and drove the car together. Ray still lived with his doctor, for Chalse thought the doctor could take care of Ray better though he also wanted to live with his brother.
So we should love and be considerate to others and value our family. Everyone has love deep in their heart.
