As I have talked in my oral report, the most intelligent person, as well as one of the greatest strategist through out the Chinese history, Zhuge Liang was born in Linyi, my hometown. In fact, the former residence of Zhuge Liang is only about 1 kilometer away from my grandma’s home. Since everyone may know well about the amazing story of adult Zhuge Liang, I will only talk about his childhood, the 14 years he spent in Linyi.
When Zhuge Liang was born, his father was the chief of Taishan County, which was at the foot of Mount Tai. Therefore, Zhuge Liang had an opportunity to get good education. Zhuge Liang's intelligence was easily seen from his very early age. It is said that, Zhuge Liang was able to recognize Chinese characters as early as 1 year old.
Things changed greatly after Zhuge Liang was born. As we all know, the Han dynasty was experiencing disasters in that period of time; many vassals didn’t take orders from the central government and would easily set out wars and political conflicts in order to make themselves stronger. Though Taishan County was rather small and out-of-the-way, the political conflict finally came and Zhuge Liang’s father died due to it. That year, Zhuge Liang was only 14 years old. After that disaster, Zhuge Liang's family couldn't get any income in his hometown,Langya(now known as Linyi) and Zhuge Liang, along with his two brothers and his mother, moved to South China and lived with his uncle.
Though Zhuge Liang didn't make any great achievement when he was in Linyi due to his age, we people in Linyi still take pride in him because such a great person was born in my hometown. Now, in Linyi, there is a theme park about Zhuge Liang named Recumbent Dragon because Zhuge Liang’s nick name was that. Apart from that, we also have a musium in his fomer residence in which there are a lot of monuments to honor Zhuge Liang.

I also admire Zhuge Liang very much not only for his great intelligence but also he was loyal to his empiror Liu Bei.Zhuge Liang started to do his best to give Liu Bei strategies and helped him find gifted people.Compared to his great achievement, his short life made me sad and I really think it's a pity for such talent person die at a young age.Maybe I will pay a visit to your hometown and see the bornplace of Zhuge Liang.

I do not know him, However, I am aware of great achievements of the Chinese Emperors and the PEOPLE who helped built the country. I can never express enough my great regard for the splendour of the Beijing Olympics 2008. Even the International Olympic Committee had said publicly that never had there been such a performance. China is a great country. You may be one person, but every person counts in nation building. I know you and your friends here will be great contributors one day.
