Explore My Way
In the late morning, my eyes opened after several watery blinks. It seemed like another fine Saturday. Through the window, I glanced at the serene sky and warm sunshine. I got up and put on my clothes with ease since I know the first bus carrying us to the lecture in NTU would arrive at Eton Hall at 8:20 am. The time was adequate for a good preparation, I thought. But afterward I got to know how stupid the idea was!
My curiosity arose since I noticed there was nobody except me in the washroom all along my washing. Subsequently, I walked out my room with everything ready. Before I could reach the end of the path, four buses left in my sight. “Oh, no! It is the last bus!” How come! All the four buses arrived at the same time! Realizing I could not catch up with one, I stood there still without knowing what to do. Suddenly, the idea of taking a bus to NTU myself struck me. Avoid wasting a second, I rushed to the nearest bus stop. Only to find there was no bus available to NTU, I was completely driven to the state of irritation. Then I thought how about taking a taxi? But the idea was ruined once again, since I reached my hand into the pocket and found there was no money at all. While walking slowly back to Eton Hall with my head hanging down, I encountered a girl who was recognized as a Chinese student at the first sight. My hope came to life again. Instead of taking a taxi with a high fee, she advised taking the MRT first and then getting there by bus. So I did. With the guidance of a NTU student and the help of my friend, I reached the place finally.
Afterward I talked to my friends about the exciting exploration I had experienced. All of them listened so carefully with admirable stares at me as if I was the super hero in their eyes. Though it challenged me a lot, I was proud I made it at last.
