Last weekend, I went to Suntec City to experience the ITShow, which undoubtedly could be described as a grand ceremony.
On Saturday, which was the third day of the great event, I went to NUS in the morning to join in the Open House, which was held for the purpose of introducing more about faculties, departments and majors. I, with another boy who also has the intention of choosing Information Systems, which is my first choice, wandered in the campus to collect relevant information. We even visited School of Computing, watching some of the student's final-year-project, which were fairly interesting and creative. It was not until 2 o’clock in the afternoon that we set out for Suntec City.
When we got off the bus, we got somewhat shocked at the enormous quantity of people there. What an amazing scene it was to see so many people in the mall!Actually we had a hard time reaching the elevator because hundreds of people were moving in an exaggeratingly slow speed in front of a single elevator. Worse still, we were intercepted by the security guard because they would let the elevator rest for a few minutes for fear of its breaking down after such heavy work. When we struggled to get to the fourth floor, it was already 4 o’clock. Taking a breath, we, again, joined the crowd in the hall for cameras. It was incredible that we spent 20 minutes or so covering such a short distance of no more than 100 meters. Fortunately, we got out of the terrible place, still alive! The sky started to darken, which was a sign of a rainfall. Anyhow, I got my new camera, which was cheap and enough for me to use.
The next day, I, in hoping that I might meet some mobile phones that were suitable for me, went there again. The fact was that I bought a new phone in the heat of the moment.
Overall, I experience the ITShow and bought what I was longing for. I also found a phenomenon that most SM3 students had found that the price was in fact not as cheap as we thought!
