Yesterday I watch the film “The Lord of The Ring”. It was a myth film and it was a story about a magic ring which could give the person who worn it infinite power. But the one wearing it wound also be consumed by it. It would poison the person’s mind and if someone worn it, the king of devil named Sauron would be woke up and then dark would creep back into the forest of the world and cover the world. In order to stop such thing happening, a boy called Frodo carried the ring and went to a volcano to destroy it. But Sauron wanted to get the ring. So on the way to destroy the ring Frodo came across a lot of gruesome army. Furthermore as Frodo carried the ring, the power of the magic in the ring enticed Frodo strongly to worn it. Before Frodo no one who got it managed to withstand the temptation. But Frodo know if he could not defend the temptation the world would be filled with dark. So he kept fighting against the army in reality and the devil idea in his mind. After a long tough struggle he managed to destroy the ring.
In fact everyone has such rings in our mind which we call allurements such as bribe and power. And many of us fail to control themselves and become addicted to them. So we should learn from Frodo that we should not conquered by the temptations and we should never give up withstanding the temptations until finally the enticements are beaten. After watch this film every time I want to stop studying to play computer games, I will thought about the hero in the film, Frodo and his deed will help me beat the bad ideas and motivate me to keep on studying and never give up.

I watched the movie in high school. At that time I just regarded it as a fiction, and didn't reliaze the deep meaning behind the fascinating scenes. It is true that in our life, we all have such a ring. There may be many things we want, but we should know which is the thing we really need.
ReplyDeleteI have watched the film. I also heard that this series of movie is addictive to some people. A senior said after he watched the movies, he could hardly return to the reality. In our life, we are attracted by many things indeed, but is it ture that we should do what we deserve to do but not what we like to which means what we are addicted. There is no answer. It's a personal problem. Only the person who is really expeiencing understand what he want at that time, but will the thing he wants now be the one he want later. It's difficult to say.So will there be a day when the hero in the film regret his decision to drop the ring into the fire? I don't know. Things are always like this and this is what confuses me.
