Hi to mentees Zhenlei, Linda, Ricky and Xiaokang

I am glad to see that you have been consistently blogging, and giving comments to your own mentee-group and your classmates. Good work!

Zhenlei, your postings on the Chongqing Hotpot and Pride and Prejudice are interesting, and especially your thoughts on the DISC test and your evaluation of yourself. Yes, I do agree, it takes something like that to make us aware of our weaknesses, and see the need for change.

Linda, you have been very hardworking and made seven postings thus far, so you need not blog anymore for Phase 1 if you do not wish to. I am glad you shared about your new experiences in Singapore, and the discoveries are still causing you to enjoy your stay here in this country.

Ricky, Ricky, Ricky! Your postings are so minimal, and I don't see the excitement in your blogs unless you are writing about NBA or basketball! Well, if you love that sport so much, do share with us more and keep us updated about your victories (and defeats). However, please try to write more, and include other topics besides your favorite game!

Xiaokang, thank you for sharing your personal thoughts about life, your experiences, and even about running! In your latest posting, it was interesting to read about your adventure. I want to encourage you to continue pursuing your aspirations even though you may sometimes feel the non-excitement of daily life. I can understand that life can get pretty uninteresting with the routine of waking up and getting ready to chase after the bus, AND attending one whole day of English lessons! As you shared, it is the little adventures and surprises that keep us excited.

Well, all of you, continue to work hard and do get yourselves a little excitement during the weekends and especially during the break. Take care!

  1. Thank you for your blog.I am encouraged by reading it.Maybe english is the shortcoming of mine,Compared with my group mates. But I am makeing effort to imporve it,especially in writing. Now I am consistent in reciting one short paragraph everyday as you told me before.I can feel it is influencing the structures of sentences. And I think the most pleased thing in my bridging course is that I am your mentee.

  2. Thank you very much for caring about us. Because of your hard work, we really get a lot of useful suggestions and progress a lot. According to your suggestions, I pay much more attention to sentence structures and collocations. While writing, I try to use the words and collocations learnt in class in my essays. I think it is really helpful. Furthermore, I will carry on working hard and never give up!
